All Ten F1 Teams Confirm Participation in Inaugural Kigali Grand Prix

Every team on the 2030 Formula One grid has confirmed their entry for the Kigali Grand Prix, with several constructors already announcing plans to bring special liveries to celebrate the historic African race.

All ten Formula One constructors have formally confirmed their participation in the inaugural Kigali Grand Prix, with the final entry — submitted by a top-three constructor — arriving ahead of the FIA's deadline. The unanimous commitment from the paddock underlines the significance of the event and the sport's confidence in Rwanda's ability to host a world-class Grand Prix.

Several teams have gone further than simply confirming their entries, announcing plans for special one-off liveries to mark the occasion. At least three constructors are understood to be incorporating Rwandan design motifs — including the country's distinctive green hills and the Agaseke basket pattern — into their car designs for race weekend.

"We are incredibly proud to be part of this historic moment," said one team principal, speaking on condition of anonymity ahead of an official announcement. "Our designers have been working with Rwandan artists to create something that truly honours the host nation. It will be unlike anything we have done before."

The confirmation of all ten teams also triggers a series of commercial obligations, with each constructor required to participate in a dedicated fan engagement programme in Kigali during the week leading up to the race. The programme, developed in partnership with the Rwanda Development Board, will include school visits, driver appearances, and a free public exhibition in Nyamirambo.

Ticket demand has already exceeded all projections. The 80,000-capacity grandstand allocation sold out within 72 hours of going on general sale, with organisers now exploring options to expand temporary seating along the circuit's outer sections. A ballot system for an additional 15,000 tickets is expected to be announced before the end of the year.
